Know how big a review is before you open it

Every pull request gets a score from 1 to 10 for how much work the review is. A typo fix scores close to 1. A 25-file rewrite scores close to 9. When new commits change the diff, the score updates.

The team dashboard shows how many pull requests were opened and merged, how long merges take, and who reviewed the most. Open PRs with no activity for 14 days get their own list, so you can follow up or close them.

Find the pull request you need

Each repository has its own list. Filter it by author, label, milestone, base branch or draft status, search titles and branch names, and sort by score, size or last update.

LGTM creates a workspace for the repositories on your own account.
Install the app on your organization
Choose all repositories or only some. If you aren't an organization owner, GitHub asks an owner to approve the install.
Give each team its repositories
Invite your teammates. Each team sees only the repositories you give it.

What LGTM keeps from GitHub

LGTM needs pull request details to build your lists and scores. It never needs your code, so it doesn't keep it.

Questions before you install

What does LGTM cost?: Nothing. LGTM is free during beta.
Does LGTM work with private repositories?: Yes. LGTM works with any repository you install the app on, public or private.
Who can see our repositories in LGTM?: Only members of the teams you give a repository to. When someone is removed from your GitHub organization, LGTM removes their access right away.
Do I need to be an organization owner?: To install the app on an organization, yes. Other members can still pick the organization during the install, and GitHub asks an owner to approve it. Your personal repositories need no approval.
How does LGTM stay up to date?: GitHub sends LGTM an event when a pull request is opened, updated, reviewed or merged, and LGTM updates its copy from that event.
Can we remove LGTM later?: Yes. Uninstall the app on GitHub and LGTM loses access to your repositories. Workspace owners can also delete the workspace from its settings.
